Powerful, distinctive portrayal of an otherworldly village where paganism beliefs have seeped in everywhere and every person functions as part of an organic whole. The affability and peacefulness visible to the eyes are all the more horrifying when underlain by sinister intentions. As we learn everything through the sergeant's eyes, the identification has been built up throughout the entire film and therefore the final wicker man scene comes even harder and stronger, leaving us shiver in total hopelessness. (When the sergeant shouts desperately 'can't you see there is no sun god!', does he have a fleeting doubt about his Lord Jesus Christ too?)

古早一点的法国电影都带着点情色的成分。 看这个片子的时候已经很久了，剧情早就忘了，唯独记得95分钟玛索阿姨的大家伙是真他娘的大。

高概念，低细节，慢节奏，除了女主和室内设计，看的时候注意力一直在漂移，反乌托邦题材真是越拍越乏力了。

日本三流动画。小时候觉得哪里不对，现在发现是音乐跟画面节奏对不上，尤其是跟《幻想曲》对比。猫头鹰精能等三年等公主自愿嫁他，已经算君子了，若是愚蠢邪恶的人类，有一点力气都会用强的了。
